Mission

The mission of the NAVUG Partner Council is to support the Dynamics NAV User Group (NAVUG) in its endeavors, including education, professional development, collaboration, networking, knowledge sharing, and advocacy among the Dynamics NAV eco-system consisting of Users, NAV Partners, and Microsoft.  Additionally, the Council will provide a forum for NAVUG Partner communication and fostering of the eco-system, including an efficient, collective voice to Microsoft.

Background

At the NAVUG Forum of 2007 in Orlando, Florida, a group of NAVUG Partners met to explore the concept of creating a more formal gathering of NAVUG Partners.  The group decided that there could be tangible benefits to a group with a common purpose for organizing and meeting periodically.  The benefits included:

• More organized support of the User Community
• Greater responsiveness to the customer base
• Stronger collaboration among NAV Partners, even across competitors

From this, it was decided to form a charter, create a loosely organized group, and meet periodically to address issues together.

The Charter was expanded and eventually confirmed at an NAVUG Partner Council meeting at WPC in Houston on July 8, 2008.
