NAVUG Training Activities

Training Courses
NAVUG facilitates training course offerings on occasion, particularly in the cases where a critical mass of members are present such as the NAVUG Summit. These courses are screened to ensure quality. They are designed in response to specific learning demands of the membership.

Participation in the courses carries a training course fee, usually separate from membership fees or conference fees. This, like all NAVUG programming, is designed to cover the costs associated with facilitating the course. The value proposition to members is that the size and critical mass of NAVUG will help the price per student to be driven down. Therefore, NAVUG strives to facilitate training course offerings that are priced at or lower than courses normally available in the market.

The courses are always offered by qualified trainers with approved curriculum. The courses are often specific and topical in nature and can be thought of as a “deep dive” into a certain area. On other occasions, courses are offered over a longer term for those users seeking certification. The Certification courses result in the ability and preparedness to sit for the certification exam.

Collaboration with Microsoft Learning
Regular meetings with Microsoft Learning occur with representatives from NAVUG. This End User delegation helps Microsoft improve the quality and availability of curriculum and course offerings .

Education Committee
The NAVUG Education Committee meets regularly to make progress on the NAVUG Training and Certification Initiative. Its activities are centered around achieving the objectives of the Initiative.

NAVUG Certifications
NAVUG will be offering specific Certifications for Dynamics NAV end-user skills attained through training courses.  Eventually, the NAVUG Certifications should be recognized industry-wide and will provide a predictable level of skills for those persons possessing these Certifications.
