Today kicked off the 10th annual NAVUG Summit! With all the user groups under one roof for one week a year and a record-breaking 1,000 Dynamics NAV attendees, and a total of 6,600 attendees, there won’t be many corners of the Dynamics product we don’t celebrate, innovate, and iterate on while we’re in Nashville.
We’ll be posting daily recap blogs, called Summit Nashville High Notes, highlighting some of the great things happening onsite so even if you weren’t able to attend, you don’t miss out.
Have an Art-Attack – It’s less dangerous and more fun!
Dynamic Communities commissioned vibrant, digital, artwork that’s inspired not by Dynamics (the software), but by the dynamic community of users and partners like YOU—the ones who bring the intention of the tool to life. Individual artwork elements have been released month-by-month, but the highly-anticipated full artwork has been revealed to attendees in signage, airport banners, and social media.
Pre-Conference Academy Training
This year, across D365UG/AXUG, D365UG/CRMUG, GPUG, and NAVUG, there were over 1,000 Pre-Conference Academy registrations. More than 600 Summit Nashville attendees, many taking multiple classes, grabbed their saddles and got to Nashville early for extra hands-on training courses and the opportunity to earn CPE credit. Across all user groups, there were over 110 Pre-Conference Academy classes taught by 74 dedicated, expert instructors that would make Patsy Cline proud, such as Microsoft MVPs Kerry Rosvold and Mark Brummel.
Community Leader Development Training
This year training was expanded to include all leaders in the community. Over 200 volunteer leaders from the community gathered for professional development training, including a 2-hour presentation from Davida Sharpe with Center for Creative on “Gaining Commitment, Getting Results.” Community leaders also enjoyed a Welcome and Thanks from Dynamic Communities President, Janet Lampert and insight on the Dynamic Communities vision and mission and a Why We Serve session with Dynamic Communities Founder, Andy Hafer.
Summit Partner Exchange
Nearly 1,000 Microsoft Dynamics Partners gathered today for the Summit Partner Exchange, making this the largest ever partner focused event at Summit. Attendees discussed hot topics on the minds of Partners, including a Microsoft Executive Keynote from Toby Bowers and Kees Hertogh. Microsoft Dynamics Partner, RSM, was awarded the Community Engagement Award and User Group Evangelist Awards were given to PowerObjects, mcaConnect, DXC Eclipse, and ArcherPoint.
Expo Hall Reception
This is the largest Expo Hall in Summit history, featuring 260+ unique sponsors supporting Summit Nashville with 346 sponsorships, covering D365UG/AXUG, D365UG/CRMUG, GPUG, and NAVUG. 80% of 2016 sponsors returned for 2017 – that’s a tall glass of heck of a lot everyday solutions to the biggest questions in your industries.
Rise Against Hunger
Dynamic Communities strives to practice servant hood and leave a positive impact in our host cities. In Nashville, D365UG/CRMUG Summit attendees have the opportunity to join an assembly line to package boxes of food that will be shipped to the hungry. The goal is to together as a community to raise $5,000 and package 50,000 meals over three days during the conference.
Join us tomorrow as we continue to cover the Executive Program, Microsoft Product Sessions, Member Marketplace, and more.
