    ​​Hello everyone,

    Lanham's e-Receive has decided to confound me this morning.  When trying to receive in the last shipping container of goods on a PO, it has now decided to give the error message (Lot Number is Required for Item XXXXX).   We received in the first container of goods and the samples without any issue.

    I looked in the Receive Line table and I can see that the lot code has been recorded for the items we are trying to receive.

    The error comes up when we try to close the order.

    We are on NAV 2015 and using ACE Warehousing, e-ship, and e-receive.

    I checked and there are no reserves on the current PO.

    I would have just un-received the order and started over, but we have already shipped out some of the goods received from the first shipping container.

    Good morning sir,

    Does the item have the correct "E-Ship Tracking Code" assigned to it? If an item is Item Tracked then you need to make sure the corresponding "E-Ship Tracking Code" is assigned as well when using E-Ship and E-Receive.

    Yes, we made sure that the lot code being received matched that found on the incoming PO.​

    We are running NAV 2015 as well and i remember getting this error recently. I remember it sorting out a day or two later. I would check your permissions if possible, close down NAV, wait a day, and if none of that works, reach out to your partner. You came to the right place first off! Maybe someone here has a better idea. You never know.

    ​I had several people at the warehouse try to receive in the goods.   Then I tried, assuming since I am a SuperUser, would just go in and take care of it, and I could not do so either.

    So your experience corrected itself?   I wish my system would correct its own errors.  ;-)

    Wish I could shutdown NAV for a day, but our business does not allow for that kind of downtime.   Interesting thought though.   Wonder if I could convince the powers-that-be to actually shut down one day over a weekend to allow for this?  Hmmm.

    Hi Steven -

    Are you using the E-Ship tracking? If so, you will need to be sure that on the E-Ship tracking code you are using, that the "Transfer Lot Numbers" field is set. This will transfer the lot number you entered in E-Receive to the Purchase order when closing the order.

    Hey Steven-

    The screenshot provided looks to be for Packing, and would only apply to Pack Line Scanning. You would need to look at the Receiving tab to see whether the "Receive Lot Number" and "Rec. Transfer Lot Numbers" are set correctly. If it is working some of the time, but not all of the time, then perhaps there is some customization in place that is causing the issue. If that is the case, you might want to reach out to your reseller partner on the issue.
