Workflow Notification E-mails Not Sending

    We are having an issue where the out of the box workflow notification is not sending the e-mails in BC.  There is an error in the job queue - A call to MailKit.Net.Smtp.SmtpClient.Send failed with this message: No recipients have been specified.

    We can send a test e-mail successfully from the SMTP Mail Setup - to people within the domain and to people outside the domain.  It is only in the job queue that it is failing - and it fails for both people in the domain and people out of the domain.

    We believe this is an SMTP issues instead of BC, but there doesn't seem to be much info out there on this specific error message.  G Suite is being used for SMTP.

    Anyone have this issue before and know what SMTP settings need changed to fix it?

    Did you check that all users have an email assigned in Approval User Setup?

    Just based on the "No recipients have been specified" message, this sounds like more of a data issue than an SMTP issue.  Are you sure your workflow is able to properly assign the recipient of the email?  Check what field it is getting the email from and make sure all records have a proper email assigned.  If it is selecting a Contact or User, are you sure they have a proper email on the record?

    All the users have an e-mail address in the Approval User Setup.  We are just using the Purchase Approval Workflow Template that is provided - the Approver Type is Approver and the Approver Limit Type is First Qualified Approver.  I don't know of another place I would need to have an e-mail set up because Approval User Setup so it seems like it should be finding a recipient at least.

    Silly question, did you apply the changes after running the test (Click the Apply Office 365 Server Settings)

    Are Notifications setup on each user.  By default i believe only "New Record" is assigned to each user in the Approval User Setup.   Notification setup is on the menu and a record needs to be added for Approval and send by email (rather then note).
