    Hi All

I know there's an add-in on AppSource for copying an item and I know it's in v16 (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/inventory-how-copy-items).

Anyone know if it's in v15?

(I really wish Microsoft would add an "Applies to" line to documentation like they do in most other products (see screenshot)

    Mark,

With BC SaaS you have to be on the latest version (within 90 days of release) so that type of tagging becomes pointless as to be on App Source you are also required to be updating your code to latest release at all times. Are you on the on-prem version so staying on V15 for the near future? I would need to dig into the release notes for BC to validate exact timing of the Copy option for you. You could always use the existing item to create an Item Template and then select that template on a new item to apply the same values to fields in the system.

    HI Spence

Thanks, I'm aware of templates, but we'd need a lot of them!

We are on Prem, so we can stay on any version as long as we like. (Just have to know risks of Lifecycle Policy)

That makes sense, until you upgrade maybe the simple route outside of modifications would be to use excel export / import functionality to copy all the needed detail and just change the number.
