New BC Implementation - what works best?

I want to setup a holding company and 2 very different companies in BC.  Although I am the only current user and am migrating from QBO, I would like to build 3 companies using a shared Chart of Accounts.  My intent is that as I grow and add accounting managers to the companies that they would only have access to their particular business unit.  How easy is it to consolidate reports across these 3 entities?

How easy is it to upload master data (chart of accounts, customers and vendors) from a spreadsheet?

I have a front-end application that provides AR and AP transactions to be integrated into one Business Unit.  Is this easy to do in BC?  Will I need to purchase an additional power app?

I'm trying to decide if BC is the best way to go and if I should be using one company with extensions or 3 separate companies.

    Any advice is appreciated.
    Thank you

    When you said:

I think you meant to ask you should set up one company and with DIMENSIONS * to split up the 3 different company transactions and reporting.
(extensions, in the BC world, are software add-ons)

Dimensions can be added and used for this, but I suspect that, if you need separate P&L and other reporting for your 3 different companies, you may be best to set them up as separate companies.

You can certainly do data imports. to learn about Setting Up a Company With RapidStart Services
You might want to start here:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-set-up-a-company-with-rapidstart

Seeking out a partner that has done multi-company QB to BC conversions to work you through the process and ask the additional questions would also be recommended.
There are established QB to BC migration tools available.

Thanks ... yes I did mean Dimensions.  Obviously I'm new to the BC/NAV world but not ERP implementations.  I have 18 years GP experience plus 4 year PeopleSoft.  My intuition was to build 5 separate companies and you have confirmed that.
