#Easy Security #Permissions #Nav 2015

    Hello,

Has anyone used Easy Security ver 2.0 with Nav 2015 to allow specific users to setup and copy new companies? Is the super user permission set the only method to allow this or is there a specific ES_ permission group with this permission set?

    Thanks,

In NAV 2015 is the only way to limit access to create, copy or delete companies the access to the system table 2000000006 Company. If you only give users Read can they not work with the Company table.
The System Permissions for dealing with Companies is only working in 2009 and earlier.

Thank you Per. So using the objects associated with page 357 in the ES_QS_Objects combined with ES_TECH_ALLOBSFREE permissions will not achieve this? I would have to grant Full access to the Company table for a "blank" company so that when the new company is created, the user will be able to work with it?

Only the Table Permission for System table 2000000006 Company can control this. The object-level security only prevents people to see the pages.

    Per,

I have used the builder permissions successfully to create and publish two permission set id's, but keep getting the error below when trying to publish the Permission Set I created by setting the values for Table 20000006 to Yes for RIMDE. I do not want to set the read only Quick Security to full without understanding how that may impact other settings using the read only switch.

The permission Set does not exist. Identification fields and values: Role ID='CREATE_Company'

I have attached the Permission Set Card for the Set that I used. I have tried to find something in your video training to help with this but have not been successful, would you be able to assist me as this is the final setting I need to make to our test company.

    Thanks,

You must do a Full Publish, Publish Selected does not work when you have new Permission Sets to add.

Thank you Per for the assistance. I was in the middle of a full publish when I got a server time out error. I have gotten them in the past and have not had any issues when testing. However, I was able to bypass the timeout error and reviewed the logins using the new permission and they appear to be good. When testing them on our test server with the user we are getting a new error and then still can not create or copy a company.

I have attached the error messages for your review.
