Is anyone familiar with a tool that will give me the ability to analyze a sales order and let me know how many boxes I would need to pack an order based on item and box dimensions? I looking for a tool that will help me with providing a more accurate shipping quote to my customers.

I am not affiliated with this company in any way so I am not selling it.  One company to explore is Pacejet https://www.pacejet.com/erp/microsoft/dynamics-365-business-central/ .  At one time they were exploring pick to package capabilities that could be leveraged here.  If you do some research in this area will you report back to the group if PaceJet does it or not?

    Best of luck!

    Hello,

ChargeLogic Shipping uses our SmartPack functionality to determine how many packages an order would take to fit into. It uses the dimensions from the item UOM, Item, or Item Category to figure out the correct size box, and then prints the labels generated by the carrier.
Here is a link to their site https://www.chargelogic.com/shipping/
Ask your partner if it will meet your needs.
