Including hours worked in a Genl Jrnl entry

    Hi folks.
We use ADP for our payroll, and we post monthly General Journal entries into NAV that are a based on a summary of our payroll costs from ADP.
I'm trying to find a way to include hours worked in the GJ so I can analyze from data in NAV.
Has anyone ever tried this?  Is there a throw-away field I can use that would typically be exposed and available in NAV's canned reports?
We are running NAV 2013 R2.
    Thanks.

Haven't played with them in a long time, but check out statistical accounts in G/L and post nonfinancial numbers onto them.

We also use ADP but post entries through jobs.  You can capture resource hours or GL quantities using a Job G/L Journal.  Then analyze hours and costs through a job.  However, job setup is another level of complexity to deal with.

There is a quantity field in the general journal and the general ledger entry table. You might try populating this and make sure it posts from the journal to the ledger.
