Is there a way to update a PO if the production order changes if the PO was originally created based on the demand of the Production order?

    Scenario:

Production order for qty 100 drives the creation of a Purchase order.  We have already sent the PO to our supplier.  We need to maintain the same PO number and we would prefer to just increase the qty on the PO.  However, that doesn't appear to be possible.

Production order changes to 150 and thus the PO needs to be increased.  Do we need to completely delete the PO and create a new one?

In order to change a qty on a Purchase Order, the PO must be in an Open Status. If you need to update the quantity, you can Reopen the PO, make the Qty change, and then Re-Release the Purchase Order.

At that point, you would have to communicate to the vendor of the change to make sure they can accomodate.
