    Hi all,

    I have a customer who's experiencing some unusual issues, and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced/solved these before.

    Since they weren't able to replicate the problem over a screen share, I told them to try using Microsoft Edge instead of Chrome or Firefox (which I normally recommend people use when Edge acts weird). Any other thoughts/ideas?

    Here's what they said:

    While entering Job Journal Entries the clerk and I both experienced the following:

    • We would enter data in a field and it would disappear when we went to another line, as if the data had never been entered.
    • I was entering numbers and they changed as I moved down the records.  For example, a number such as 104.74 would change by a few cents and become 104.68.  It did this on one particular Journal sheet on many lines..... totally not acceptable.
    • Though #s were entered, the sheet would not balance and we had to track the amount and retype the field multiple times or sometimes even delete the line - which often didn't fix the problem.  Eventually we would get the   indicating the data is being sent back to the table/database.
    • We had problems in 2 companies with this.

    While the other clerk was doing Payment Journals:

    • She would enter a complete line and when she got a few lines down, the data in one of the fields would disappear.
    • It did this multiple times and I believe it was also on multiple days.
    • I'm not sure which company she was in.

    Hi Val,

    I've seen something similar, and I "think" the problem occurs when there is a lag in the internet performance of the client.  I believe it happens when BC/NAV Web client is running over a high latency link or a low bandwidth.  I'm not sure if there is any software out there that would let you test the case when there is a low speed connection - but that is my guess.

    Hello,

    I have seen issues in journals with values disappearing, and when a description line is changed, it will revert back to the default description randomly after additional lines are entered.

    I have not seen the issue with dollar amounts changing.

    I did open a ticket with Microsoft, and one suggestion that seems to have helped in the interim (until they work this out) is to revert back to the original journal view by going to page -> show more columns.  This isn't relevant to the job or payment journals, but may help if you experience the same issues elsewhere.

    Hi Val,
    I have experienced the same issue in different places of the program. This seems to be internet/sync issue. The only way I have been able to work through this is by closing the and opening the Page again to make sure that the changes stay and sometimes I had to do this multiple times.

    Hi Val,

    We've experienced the same issue and were able to fix it by uninstalling and reinstalling the extensions Sales & Inventory Forecast and Essential Business Headlines. Not too sure which one caused the issue but this resolved it for us.
