If you have a job set to run every 60 minutes, but occasionally it takes longer than 60 minutes, will it start another copy of the task or wait until the current task is done?

It should run on a continuous loop then.  The Job Queues run based on Earliest Start Time.  When the job finishes executing, it evaluates if the Earliest Start time is current or in the past and will start again.

That was what I was hoping.    Continuous loop good.    Running the same job concurrently not so much.
I was pretty sure of that, but wanted to fact check myself.

    Thanks.

As Chris stated on this one, it the earliest start time is evaluated after the job is complete.  If you schedule 60 mins on the hour, after a while you'll notice the next start time is not on the hour anymore.  I usually have the job stop at a certain time and have it start up again on the hour.  This ensure's it's pretty close to every hour on the hour.
