Hello everyone,
I'm converting some items from assembly orders to production orders and we currently have a system where things like sets of instructions that we print out on an as needed basis are not kept on hand.These items are recorded as being used in quantities of 0 in our assembly BOMs, which seems to work fine for that purpose, they do show up on assembly orders.
However, when the instructions are added in quantities of 0 on the production BOM, the BOM certifies alright, but when I try to release a production order for that item, the 0 quantity items do not show up on the components section of the production order (though they do show up in detailed calculation). I'd like these non-inventory items to show up on the production order so that our manufacturing team knows to print them off.
Is there any way around this short of stocking a massive amount of these and consuming them in quantities of 1?

​If they show up somewhere else, then it's probably a filter of your Production Order.
It probably has a filter for Quantity>0 and you can remove it.
You'll need access to the developer section of NAV to do this.
