    Business Central.  V 14.

    Job has been setup with 2 task lines.  I want to remove (or block from having it used) a task line as no longer relevant.  I attempted to delete and because 1 job ledger entry is associated I am prevented from deleting.

    Does anyone have a method of allowing me to remove/block the job task line from being selected in Business Central?

    Note:  job card image with exposed task lines attached.

    you could try as a work around... (I have not verified this) removing some of the other fields that are required (i.e. posting group, task type, job task no?, start/end dates...) if you can remove a field that is required by other areas of the system the other areas will error out whilst trying to use those lines with the standard "you must specify field X in job task line...." Its not removing them but at least it stops them from use.
    Short of that an extension to introduce a "blocked for usage" flag which is then checked when task lines are used elsewhere...
