User Personalization User Profile ID Role Tailored Client Permissions

Hi All- I have a situation where I have set up permissions for my users based on their job functions, but not all of them have visibility to the Activities 'box' on their home page. (the blue tiles with preset filters and some preset shortcuts) I have assigned them all with user profile IDs via Departments/Administration/Application Setup/RoleTailored Client/User Personalization/Edit/User Profiles. I did some troubleshooting with our consultant on one user, and it turned out they needed permission to Table Data 1313 Activities Cue. We added this permission to the BASIC user profile. I was hoping this would resolve the issue for all users, but it only corrected the problem for one user.
What is the easiest way to tackle this? Is there anywhere you can determine what permissions are required to see the home page role center as it was intended? I cannot imagine I need to compare everyone's permissions with mine and then look for line items that are different
Any advice you can offer is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jeanmarie

Depending on what version of NAV you have, you can run the permissions recorder to see what permissions are required.  On older versions, I have just set up a test user and troubleshooted one permissions error at a time.  It can be a bit time consuming.

The permissions recorder is available in the ribbon on the permissions page.  (Open a permission set > Click Permissions in the ribbbon > go to the Actions tab)

I may have a different philosophy from others, but I never saw any drawback to include all "utility" tables (such as the Activities Cue) in the BASIC or other role assigned to all users. These tables typically don't have any business information that may be sensitive. That helps ensure that all Role Centers and menus work.

Of course, each company has its own security policies so that may not work for you. But it's relatively easy to look at all the Activity Centers and see which tables it uses. It does require familiarity with the development environment, though.

    Good luck!
