Best time to prepare for the next pandemic is .... NOW!

Yes, that is right.  Not only do I think that another pandemic may occur, I think that it will occur within the next 5-10 years.  Those companies that accept this, and begin planning now, will minimize the impact of the next pandemic as well as allow them to maximize those opportunities that arise in times of crises.

I can tell you that many companies that I work with have accepted this reality and begun planning changes to their systems and operations in a way that will allow them to adapt, maintain, and grow their business during times of uncertainty that occur during natural disasters and other calamities.

I can also tell you that it isn't very difficult to make these plans.  All companies big and small can implement a Disaster Recover (DR) or Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that is cost effective and relatively easy to implement if it is designed and planed out well ahead of time.

If you would like to know more, please read the blog that I posted on my website (CIONOWINC.COM).  In that post I walk through simple and cost effective ways to prepare for all sorts or crises, include the next pandemic when it arrives.

In business as in life, "Luck Favors The Prepared!"

I hope you all have a great holiday season, and please stay healthy and safe.

What great points Victor! I don't know who has the energy for this after the last 9 months but you're absolutely right, now is a great time to sketch out or re-visit your DR/BCP plans. I've done a couple in my career and it can seem overwhelming, but the key is to at least get something down on paper and have the conversations. It takes just 1 event to make it all worthwhile.
