    Hi All

To assist in implementations I want to create some standard packages which I have done.

I have some for Pilot as an example to collect some sample data and I have selected to most common fields.

My challenge is when I export the package and import to another clients I have to reselect the fields again. All fields by default get included as selected.

Do you know how I can export a package and import it to another client without having to reselect the fields?

    Thanks!

I tried  this in a NAV 2016 database and whatever fields are set when I export the package are also set when I import the package into another database.  I tried exporting a NAV 2016 package and importing into NAV 2018 and that worked as expected as well.

Could you have a mod in this area?  What version of NAV do you have?

    Hi Jason

    Thanks for they reply.

I do not have a custom. Was the package name the same? Can you tell me the order in which you did things?

    Thanks

I do not know of a way to import a package with a different name, as far as I know it is has to be the same (name that you export is the name that you import).  Just 2 steps:
    1) Export Package from one database
    2) Import Package into the other database
