Edit Integration Table Mappings

Hello, Im looking into to modifying the integration mapping table in order to sync more data into our dynamics 365 sales environment from our BC environment (cloud).
But I cant seem to add any rows or modify the existing mappings. Do I need to re-run the assisted setup and select the mappings I want or is there an easier way to modify this table?

The only answer I came across said that it would need to be coded but that isn't ideal, so I'm looking for alternatives.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Austin,

You need to customize to add additional mappings (fields or new tables). Standard does not have feature to add additional mappings without coding.

    Austin,

As Ajay mentioned, the base tool requires code to extend. Its a nice solution for the basics that it handles but the point of a CRM is flexibility so you can quickly need more than the tool offers. MSFT is currently working on functionality around Common Data Services which will be starting to rollout with v16 (this Spring release) to start making that a cleaner and more extendable solution. In the meantime its either writing code or we've tended to build Power Automate Flows for moving data instead so that we have the deeper control you are looking for. We expect we may be able to start rolling back into the out of box toolset with the fall release as the CDS becomes more full featured between the tools.

For your immediate need if its only a few fields you might just build a Power Automate process to map that small subset while CDS is catching up to your needs.

Thank you both for the useful information. I had considered using flow but wanted to make sure I wasn't creating something that could be handled OOB. Hopefully with the next release they will continue with their "code free" approach and allow modifications to this table.

Its definitely on the roadmap to keep extending this to utilize CDS to a deeper degree. The v16 release opens the door and I would expect the next several releases to continue to expand our capabilities here bringing the full power of the Dynamics 365 stack to bear!
