Mark,
Good Morning. Hope you are well. I will concur with Amanda. If you have your Customer and Vendors as Dimensions, you can use the RapidStart(old name)/Configuration Package (new name) to import your Opening Balance Sheet as of 12/31/2019. Then import the Net Change, per Chart of Account, per Dimension, for each Accounting Period in 2020. The import will appear in the General Journal you selected as the Template/Batch. If you need help here feel free to email back and I can send back a Configuration Package you can import into your BC for GL History Load.
Good Luck in your Go LIVE.
Steve

Subject: Importing historical data for YoY analysis
Hi All
We're going live next week (finishing existing 2020 stuff in existing system). At the end of Jan we will want to run analysis reports with YoY comparison by month of revenue (incl by customer), expenses (incl by vendor), etc. We can bring in any level of granularity need to accomplish this
We have a good mapping of existing GL to Nav GL and Dimensions, but not sure of the best type of transaction to use to get into Nav
Anyone done this and got any suggestions?
Worst case we'll use a custom table and external; reporting tools but it would be nice to use standard nav analysis tools
Thanks
mark
