Two freight lines on the Sales Order after Shipping

    We have an issue that we cannot figure out why we are getting two freight lines after we have shipped out the order in E-Ship.
    We are charging the customer the freight amount for shipping the order.

    This is the steps we are doing:
    1. Create the Sales Order , Create Warehouse Shipment and Create Pick Ticket
    2. In Pack Line Scanning - enter the sales order number
    //BOL - update the Shipping Agent and the Shipping Agent Service
    on the Value Tab - enter the Shipping Charge and the Shipping Cost
    Under Function >>> Distribute Shipping Charge
    This will put a check mark on the "Cost on Document"
    "Add Shipping Charge to COD Amount" is checked
    //PA
    //CP
    //LP
    In the Value tab - we will put the amount in the Override Shipping Charge
    //CO

    I have tried doing this again in another order but this time - I did not even do the //LP to override the shipping amount but still getting two freight lines after I do the //CO

    I think there might be something we are doing that is causing this but not sure where?

    Can someone shed some light on this issue ?

    We have two freight lines one is positive and one is negative to show the cost of freight when free freight is check marked on the
    EShip  tab of the customer card.       Are both of your freight lines positive?

    Yes, both freight lines are positive.

    We did not check the "Free Freight" on the EShip tab in the Customer Card.

    We need to charge the customer the freight.

    Is anyone putting a Freight resource line when quoting with an estimated amount, and then Lanham Eship is passing the actual amount.

    We have some order sources Amazon Orders and some Web portal orders which require the Freight that is charged be based on amount
    linked to a Sales Value Range.

    If we manually put in a freight resource line amount for that situation line we mark the Lanham Eship as free freight. A better label would be block Manifest system calculation of freight, since we overrode manually based on the Sales Order Value.

    No one is putting a freight resource line.

    For this customer - we are charging them the freight amount based on the shipping charge we are entering on the BOL. This is the rate that we are getting off a carrier website.

    Is the Bill of Lading line for Freight an Item or a resource?

    It appears a Bill of Lading Line would be a manually loaded Freight Amount you want to override from  Lanham EShip.

    Could you try a test transaction in yourt test system, mark the Sales Order Free Freight, which really means to supress a LANHAM ESHIP
    feed and only invoice what you manully loaded from the Bill of material.

    Not really sure what you mean by the Bill of Lading Freight Line - resource or item ?
    We do not put the freight amount as a line on the Bill of Lading - we put the shipping freight as a Shipping Charge on the Bill of Lading "Value Tab".
    Will do a test using what you suggested.

    Hey Berlinda -

    Is there a chance that you posted 2 shipments? Or did something happened during the posting process and you all had to do the //CO command twice?

    If it continues to happen someone will have to run debugger during the posting to see what is causing 2 lines to be written.

    No, they did not post 2 shipments.

    We will have Lanham look into this to find out what is going on.

    Thanks for your help on this.
