Customer Ship to Address

    I have set up a customer card with a sell to address that is a PO Box and a physical ship to address. Is there any way to have the ship to address automatically fill in on the order instead of having to go down to the Shipping Fast Tab and manually changing it?

    Chris,
    On the customer card there is default Ship-To address, if populated it should populate on the order

    It is populated but it keeps pulling in the Sell to address and not the Ship to.

    @Fred Holst - What version?

    I don't see a Ship-To field on the Customer Card on #NAV2013R2 or on #NAV2018.
    I do see it on #D365BusinessCentral, however.

    We are still in NAV2013 but will be upgrading to BC shortly. Guess I will just have to wait until we make the switch.

    Lewis, it is a field in the table, but not displayed on the page.  You would need to add it to the page

    It was field #12 in Business Central, but that field does not seem to exist on NAV2013R2 or NAV2018 unless it is called something else.

    You can create a ship-to address and set it as the default address. This is Nav 2013. Hopefully, none of this is customized.

    You're right. I now see that "Default Ship-to" field is 50014 (so a custom field). Should have looked at that first.

    If Lanham's E-Ship is being used, then set up the ship-to address from the customer card.  Then on the customer card/E-Ship fasttab/Default Ship-for Code, pick the shipping address that needs to be used.

    Thanks @Jeane Meade for teaching me something today!  There are so many hidden gems in Lanham setups.

    Is there any significance tin the name of the field as "Ship-for" instead of "Ship-to" ?

    Lewis: The Ship For aka Mark For is used mostly in an EDI situation where you Ship To a distribution center but Ship For a Store Number. The GS1-128 label will have both address elements. When the pallet gets broken down in your trading partners DC, one would expect automation to route to the appropriate door / bay. We see this used heavily for replenishment orders where the retailer is using their own transportation to keep stores in stock.
