Attaching Terms and Conditions to a PO

  • 1.  Attaching Terms and Conditions to a PO

    Hello Everyone;

    I need some input.

    We use NAV 2017 and need to attach Ts &Cs to every PO that goes out so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  We don't currently have a document app like ZetaDocs or anything like that.

    How is everyone else doing it?

    Thank you so much.

    If the terms and conditions are always the same, you could create a custom report and add it to Report Selections for Purchase. This second report would then print after each PO report. Add it as report 2 on this list.

    Alternatively, you might be able to use a custom report layout with terms added. You could create several layouts and assign one as a system default and assign others specific to a vendor using Document Layouts. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/ui-manage-report-layouts

    Assign an overriding report to a vendor using document layouts. When you print/send to this vendor, the assigned report will be used. Using this approach, some vendors would get the terms and conditions and others may not. Or, you can have varying terms based on type of vendor.

    We modified our Purchase Order print to include the Terms & Conditions.  Dynamics Addons has a product called EasyPD that will allow you to email your purchase orders and  include additional attachments along with your purchase order.  https://dynamicsnavaddons.com/easy-pdf-email-fax/

    We use DocumentPath for this. It adds any additional pages to the PDF for quotes, PO's, Invoices etc that you want, and can have different templates for different types of situations. It also provides the ability to populate the subject, and body of the email however you like--including with the Document No. you're sending, or any other info from the document.
