Are there any good tutorials or videos to show what OOB funtionality there is for integrating Business Central with Dynamics CRM?

I would also like to know about Field Service integration to BC...if any.

Also would like to know the customizability (is that a word?) and limitations.

    Thanks.

are you in the latest versions and receiving 'wave; updates?   the integration tools are available and can be added  and setup using the extensions setup inside of BC.   MS has a step by step document for CRM to BC.   We have gotten it to work in the most pure environment.  This is all very new and although MS says it can be done, you should tread lightly and plan for lots of testing and trial and error.

We are BC Online...BC 365....whatever MS is calling it today. I'll look through that document...but the real need is field service.
    Thanks for your reply.

Microsoft began including CRM Integration with NAV in 2016. It has certainly changed a fair bit since then. As Jamie said, if you're in the cloud getting the latest updates, then you are on the cutting (if not bleeding) edge.
I've been using the OOB integration since 2016 and we're going live with it in BC14 (which is Spring 2019 release). We've customized it a lot but it definitely works OOB if you want to use it the way they (MS) intended.
I haven't heard of a Field Service <--> BC integration but wouldn't be surprised if they got that up and working in the cloud in a future release.
If you want to depart from OOB, then your possibilities are endless. Kingswaysoft is worth consideration but is going to be more technical than most other solutions. Scribe and EOne are other common integration options that come to mind.

Yeah....I have Scribe Online experience and I was thinking that might be a better way to go.  I may be wrong, but I don't think the OOB integration with Sales is 2 way...correct?
Anyway, if they do get a connector for FS, that would be great.
    Thanks for the reply.

A few more details here on the integration and capabilities. The out of box is being fully re-configured utilizing the common data services, if you are just starting I'd pause for the October release when significantly more capability will be available. The traditional connector was actually pretty solid for base systems but as soon as you started adding fields extremely painful to update. The new option using CDS will be significantly more flexible and capable and definitely supports bi-directional (but always define as much ownership on one side as possible to avoid conflicting).

Sounds like you are more specifically looking at Field Service integration as opposed to the core Sales product. This is not supported by the existing out of box connector and will get better with the CDS usage but still need updating to be full featured. We've done several of these using various approaches, generally speaking the key question is how much complexity needs to move between the two options. Often the bulk of the complexities can be housed in Field Service and the core transactional detail can move to BC in a fairly simple format once process is executed. There are lots of moving parts so define what that process looks like to the business user first then work through toolsets to match the business process.

OK, great.  Appreciate the information.  Looks like for FS we will use what we have.

    Thanks.
