Email Logging NAV2017

    Hi there,

    We have setup Email logging to log emails exchange between salespeople and contacts as interactions, we have setup the Public folders, the Queue and Storage, also we have setup a Job Queue to run Code Unit 5065 Email Logging Context Adapter to run automatically to process the Queue folder and move emails to the Storage folder and log interactions.

    The issue we are having that every now and then the Job Queue would fail because there is a corrupted email message in the Queue folder, NAV won't just skip this message, it will just fail and we have to manually delete this message from the Queue folder (which is sometimes very hard to find) and restart the Job Queue again.

    Anybody has experience setting this up in a more robust way and managed to work out those issues? we find it very hard to maintain in it's current form.

    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Sometimes there is a weird symbol which NAV will lock up.

    I would suggest locating the record, don't delete it.

    Open it in SQL and search for the weird value you are currently searching (Field(s)).
    Once you find the symbol, you will need to Strip the value in NAV coding and then move the record.
