    Hi All

We are on BC v13 on prem

I am trying to correct a posted sales invoice (supposed to create a new sales invoice), as described here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/sales-how-correct-cancel-sales-invoice

I customize the ribbon and add cancel and correct icons, but they never appear.

Tried different companies, computers, config mode, normal mode

Could it be that the documentation is for a later version? Any way to tell which version it applies to? (With other products like SQL server, there is an "applies to:" note on every doc page. Strange BC doesn't have it

    Regards

    mark

The "Correct" a posted document feature is new.   I have noticed oddity in menus showing new features (and even some of the older features).  I would use the 'older' method for correcting, which is to create a credit memo and ensure it is applied to the invoice.   Are you familiar with this process?  i can walk you through if you need.

    Thanks Jamie

Yes, kind of familiar with old process, but haven;t actually used yet (creating test scripts for CRP right now), but it seems the new one is much more efficient. With the old one I still have to under shipment (if possible) or process a return and then create new invoice. From what I understand, the new one will do it all at once

    Thanks

    Mark

The new process is great and it is available for purchase invoices, too. I can't speak to 13, but possibly in 14 and definitely in 15.

Do you know if this works for posted sales orders as well? We often have price adjustments that are handled via sales credit memos, however, they buyer would like a corrected invoice.
    Thank you!

Yes, it does work for sales orders that are shipped and invoiced.

    Hi Mark,
If you go to the development environment and go to page 143 and then page actions you will see a action "CorrectInvoice" go into properties and update the "Visible" setting to "TRUE".  It will most likely be set to "IsFoundationEnabled".  This worked for me.

Obviously, it goes without saying, always ask a developer first. :-)
