Looking for solutions to automate creating a NAV sales order from a PDF file.  A large percent of our orders come in via an email with a PDF document attached.  Our current process is for Customer Service to review the email/PDF and key the order into NAV.  We would like to eliminate as much of the manual process as we can.

We are currently on NAV 2016.

Hi Bill,

You could try one of the RPA solutions that are out there. I've been learning UI Path, and it has capabilities to ingest PDF documents and understand the text. It even has ML/AI capabilities to understand variations in the documents if they aren't consistent. Then you can use the framework to enter the data into NAV directly, or using web services if you publish your page.
