Using NAV's Phone Icon (dialer)

I was wondering if anyone had configured NAV to talk with their phone system (for example dial out using NAV's phone icon).  What did you use and how did it work?  Do we need to install a Tapi client locally?  Is there any NAV configuration that needs to be done.  Is there anything required on the phone system?  We're using a Mitel IP Phone System.

Our requirement is simple.  Click on the phone icon and dial the number and be able to talk with customer/vendor.

    Thanks!

This will depend on what phone system and or CRM you are using.  There was a simple modification to FreePBX to tie it to Nav and allow Nav to both dial out and to pop up accounts  on incoming queue calls using that system. If your using something like Cisco I'm sure there's a paid module, it's just a matter of a dialer api really.

I've always wondered about this too - I found this document online.  The reference to Dynamics NAV starts on page 136.  I've put this on my projects list!     Mitel Phone Manager User Guide 2016
