Workflow Notification Back to Requester

Back in April 2020, workflows were supposed to be enhanced to do the following: Notify requester about all changes for an approval request.  When someone approves the Purchase Order, we want it to e-mail the requestor that it has been approved.

I am trying to do this in BC 16.3 and cannot figure out how to set it up to do it this way.
I have finally added a step that says Create a notification for <Sender> that will at least send me an e-mail when it has been approved.  But the e-mail it sends tells me it is a new record that has been created instead of it has been approved.  If I change Notification Entry Type to Approval instead, then I never get an e-mail.

Has anyone had success setting this up in the new version without development?  What am I missing?

In NAV2016 and now in BC14 we're using the method that @Juan Crispin suggested in that link that Steve suggested. But that requires development, and as Marisa said, BC16 is not supposed to require that in order to accomplish this.
Steps 9&10 on this link seem to be what you're working on, although it sounds like you're doing it right...
Good luck, Marisa. Please share how this turns out for you.
