Insert Same Comment on Many Contact Cards at Once

    Hi there,

I'm struggling to find a way to properly enter a line into many Contact Cards at once. There are sorting and other technical considerations with the Line No. and Sub No. fields that we don't have understanding of. The use case here is that we want to comment on each Contact when we've sent them a formal email. We have the list of Contact Numbers and the Comment, Code and Date field would be the same for all of them. Just pasting these into the actual table (5061) doesn't work because the Line and the Sub No. fields don't get properly populated.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to get this done without writing a custom report (we don't have a developer license in-house)?

    Thanks for any advice!

@Lewis Rosenberg I had the same thought.

Unfortunately, they would have to assign a Line No.on each record making sure not to use a line no. already assigned to a comment for that contact. RapidStart is not auto-incrementing this on insert. I tested it earler in NAV 2018.
