    Hi All

We're testing BC2020, so no more RTC :-(

There seems to be about a 10 minute timeout on the web clients. In MS docs it says SessionTimeout, but I don't see that anywhere in settings in admin shell

    Message

    Thanks

    Mark

There are two sets of timeouts in play. First is the web server IIS timeout, and second is the connection between IIS and the service tier. We are on BC16, and this is what we've settled on for settings, which have greatly reduced, but not eliminated, the "we've paused" message for users. The target timeout was 20 minutes.

Note: if you deploy an app in the middle of the day, users will get that same error message.

    These are powershell commands.

    Service Tier:
$instance = "whatever your instance name is"
    Set-NAVServerConfiguration $instance -KeyName ClientServicesKeepAliveInterval -KeyValue "00:00:15"
    Set-NAVServerConfiguration $instance -KeyName ClientServicesIdleClientTimeout -KeyValue "00:20:00"
    Set-NAVServerConfiguration $instance -KeyName ClientServicesReconnectPeriod -KeyValue "00:05:00"
    Set-NAVServerConfiguration $instance -KeyName NavHttpClientMaxTimeout -KeyValue "00:20:00"
    Set-NAVServerConfiguration $instance -KeyName SqlConnectionIdleTimeout -KeyValue "00:20:00"

    IIS:
    Set-NAVWebServerInstanceConfiguration -WebServerInstance $instance -KeyName SessionTimeout -KeyValue "00:20:00"

Thanks Kyle, so it looks like you're just increasing it to 20 mins, no?
