    When receiving against a warehouse receipt the entries ended up in Reservation Entries instead of posting against the warehouse receipt (i.e. debit inventory credit received not invoiced) creating a purchase receipt. How do I remove the entries out of the reservation entry ledger and into inventory? What would happen if I select Cancel Reservation as the entries are stuck in this status?

    Hello Heather,

    Normally you shouldn't need to worry about Reservation Entries. This is something the system does behind the scenes.

    If you have received the Item correctly you should have a corresponding Posted Purchase Receipt.

    Also, depending on your warehouse configuration/complexity level there are different ways of putting received items into inventory. See the following links and the related links at the bottom of each page for more details:

    Hello,

    Cancelling Reservation Entries only works when the 'Reservation Status' is of the 'Reservation' type, not the 'Surplus' type. These are only used in the background of the system and are most likely not the problem. Please post a screen shot of the Purchase Order, showing Qty. to Receive, Quantity Received, Qty. to Invoice, and Quantity Invoiced columns from the Lines area.
