Local Community Meetings

    Good morning all,

    I am new to NAV, using NAV 2017.
    Prior to getting involved with NAV, I was part of the Microsoft Dynamics AXUG, the Portland Chapter. We had a group meeting in Portland every month. Seattle with AXUG only met quarterly.

    Now I am checking out the NAVUG's in Portland and Seattle. I know you all are Portland....so...1) Why should I join the Portland group over the Seattle group? 2) How often does the Portland User's Group physically meet? 3) When you do meet, where do you meet?

    Thank You,

    Brian St Clair

    Brian -

    There are a few of us around, but we're scattered and I'm sad to say don't seem to be enough to reach that "critical mass".  Apparently the group used to be more active when Dave Wiser was over at Tillamook Creamery and involved in Oregon, but he's since moved up to Seattle (and is now leading the Seattle chapter), and the creamery has moved to Dynamics 365.

    For myself, I follow both groups but it's the Seattle one that's currently the most active.  I'd highly recommend you reach out to Dave.  Also, do you happen to be going to NAVUG in October?  That's a great networking opportunity.

    @Dan Nease and @Brian St Clair!  If you are interested in revitalizing a more localized group in Portland, but let me know.  Although it may be a smaller group, it's still beneficial to any and everyone who joins

    If you are interested, I'd be happy to discuss the volunteer Chapter Leader role with you both.

    Thanks!

    @Dan Nease, @Brian St Clair, @Eric VandenBerg, @Molly Fuchsel,

    I would be more than happy to meeting with you to review the Portland chapter.  There were some good people attending meeting a while back and we can discuss that.  I will be in Phoenix and we can meet there if you want.  Also, I am trying to get a table identified at lunch on Tuesday at Summit to see if we can get the Pacific NW folks together for lunch.  I will be sending out an email to the Seattle group letting those who are attending Summit to watch out for the lunch table.  If you want to do the same, that would be great.  Talk to you later.
