1.  Show Sales Tax (GST and Provincial) on Invoices

SILVER CONTRIBUTOR

Hello,

Quick question, we have some customers that are requesting that we break out the taxes on their invoices so it shows the GST and Provincial sales tax (Canadian company). Is this done through a template print setting or is it something we have to set up in NAV? We are currently running NAV 2016. Our current invoices group the taxes together and print as one amount.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

In your Tax Area you can have multiple Tax Jusrisdictions.
However, it is usually done in the initial setup, I am not sure about how to move from a one tax setup to a 2-tax setup, as you would have wrong amounts in your accounts when you want to report those taxes.

As Samuel mentioned, we handle it through a combination of Tax Area Codes and Tax Jurisdictions that were created during the initial set-up.

Don't forget that (depending on where you sell to) there may be GST, PST and HST. And depending on what you sell, there may be the various Environmental Handling Fees (we handle these as an Excise Tax) that will need to be broken out as well.
